Good Times, Good Pictures

Kun avaan koneen iPhoton, kuvia latautuu kaikkiaan yli 6 000. Samalla latautuu kaikki muistot viimeisten neljän vuoden ajalta. Miten ketään voi poistaa valokuvia? Ikinä ei tiedä mihen sitä voi tarvita. Ehkä myös tavaran, ja etenkin kummalisimpien tavaroiden kertyminen on saattanut myöskin johtua kyseisestä ajattelutavasta. Hyvänä esimerkkinä on puerto ricolainen rekisterikilpi, jonka otin hylätystä autosta.

When I open my iPhoto, it starts to load over 6 000 pictures from the last four years. It goes back to the time when I was still 18. When watching them I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry and at times it's just almost painful how the photos remind you of all the things that you just have to try when you were a teenager.

I hope that nobody would ever delete their pictures, or especially wouldn't through away those "old school" versions that you can actually hold in your hands and keep it as your bookmark for so long that the colors start to fade, and even after that you can still frame it. It's the same thing with the real newspaper. I swear that they don't publish the same news on the internet as they do in papers. They try to make the online news a lot more boring just so that people would go out and buy the paper. Either way, holding and reading a fresh newspaper is one of the best things I can think of, and that's how it is with real photos.

Anyways today I happened to watch the old pictures again and after each time they just always make me smile.

Paljon terveisiä Suomeen ja Danvilleen!
